You’ll confirm the quote, sign the contract, send me a 30% deposit, and then you’re in! You can check “find photographer” off your list.
STEP THREE:
We’ll have a meeting about a month before your wedding to confirm details, schedule, and family photo lists. We can share ideas, mood boards, everything you might need to make this day perfect.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
I include about 90 - 100 images per hour for however many hours I shoot for.
WHY DO WE NEED A SECOND SHOOTER?
I typically recommend a second shooter if:
1. Your wedding has more than 100 guests
2. You are both getting ready at the same time
3. If there are any other moments where I can’t be in two places at once
Sometimes I’ll be doing family photos while cocktail hour is happening - when I have a second, they can cover fun candid photos of your guests while I’m photographing you and your family. Plus, it’s nice to have different angles of poses.
WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME?
Within the first 2 weeks, you will receive about 60+ teasers from the highlights of your wedding day. The rest will come 7-9 weeks following your wedding.
DO YOU PROVIDE RAW FILES?
I don’t! I provide high res edited jpegs. Editing is a very important part of the process. I’ve been doing this a long time, and know how to make the photos look just right. Plus, RAW files are irritating to deal with unless you have the proper editing software to export them. You can’t print them, and they take up so much space. If you have an issue with any of the editing of your photos, I’m happy to discuss and adjust.
WHAT IF WE’RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?
Almost everyone says that to me. And I can’t blame them! It’s not every day you’re posing for a camera.
Don’t worry about it! I’ll tell you how to pose. I’m very practised at making people feel comfortable. You might feel a bit awkward at first, but after about 10 minutes, you’ll forget all about it.
WILL YOU HELP WITH PLANNING?
I’m always happy to give advice, and to help you with your timeline!
WHAT IF THE WEATHER’S BAD?
Do not worry about it! I’ve shot in all kinds of weather. Whatever it is, we’ll make it work. If it’s raining, we’ll get cute shots of you together under umbrellas, and then I’ll grab you the second the rain lets up and we’ll get a few shots without. Snowing? We’ll have a snowball fight. Cloudy? That’s better for photos anyway - it makes the lighting soft and beautiful. Hailing? Okay, well maybe we’ll get some nice shots inside. Whatever the weather is, we’ll make it work.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
I require a 30% deposit to reserve the date. The next 40% of the payment is due on the day of your wedding (but you are more than welcome to pay it the week of if you don’t want to be stressed thinking about it), and the last 30% is due right before you receive your photos.
HOW DO YOU BACK UP YOUR IMAGES?
My cameras have dual slots for memory cards, so if one corrupts (which has only happened once in my career), I’ll still have all the files on the second memory card. Once I get home, I transfer all the files to my main hard drive, and then immediately back it up to a second hard drive. I’ll keep all your RAW files until 2 years after your wedding, and I’ll keep all your edited jpegs for 5 years.

Yes please! If your wedding is over 5 hours, my associate and I will require food.

I’m in Hamilton, but I’m happy come to you! Anywhere over 200km away from me will incur a travel fee.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN HAMILTON?
There’s so many good ones. Mystic Ramen changed my mind on ramen. Cowabunga Pizza just won an award for best cheese pizza. Bardo, Electric Diner, Mike’s Subs, DSRT, ParmBros, Rooney’s Cafe…
But my favourite is Bernie’s Tavern. I got married there, so perhaps I’m biased…
