Charlie + Tyler

A wonderful October afternoon was spent with Charlie and Tyler at the Cambridge Butterfly conservatory. I met Charlie and Tyler when I did their Engagement Session a year previously. They had insisted I take “awkward” portraits of them, so we spent 45 minutes goofing off and coming up with funny poses for them to try. It was so much fun, and I was so thrilled when they asked me to capture their day.

They added a few of their own unique touches to the ceremony, which I loved. They walked down the aisle together, which you can see in an image below. They opted for a hand fasting ceremony. Their vows had everyone in the audience, including me, in tears.

I took a lot of beautiful photos that day, but my favourite is the one right below this, on the left. You can see that a butterfly has landed on Charlie’s shoulder, and they light was hitting them perfectly.
