Emily + Michael

My first destination wedding, and it was quite the adventure!

I met Emily in a Facebook group when she posted about a book I was reading. I had just finished it, and hadn’t been able to bully any of my friends into reading it yet, so I desperately needed someone to talk to about it. We started chatting, followed each other on instagram, and have become close friends ever since.

When Emily posted that she got engaged, I knew I just had to photograph it.

I nervously messaged her, asking if I could come to Minnesota to shoot her wedding. Luckily, she said yes! So in May of 2025, I hopped on a flight to Minnesota for Emily’s wedding.

It was a magical day. The weather was beautiful - not too hot, not too cold. They were married at The Mill House, which is right by a beautiful river. I got to meet Emily in person (she’s SO wonderful) and had the privilege of capturing her whole day, surrounded by her amazing community of friends and family. It was so much fun!
